City Attorney Goodrich stated that this is a standard ordinance that is adopted when City <br />property is sold. He explained that this ordinance also applies to Cases #13 and #14. He read <br />aloud from the City Charter section 12.5. He noted that this ordinance does not establish the <br />price of the property or who will purchase the property, it just gives permission to sell the <br />property. He stated that this property was discussed at the last City Council meeting and the <br />EDA will review this property and it will come back to the City Council for final action. <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to introduce an <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Dehen, Look, and Olson. Voting No: None. <br />Councilmember Elvig was not present for the vote. <br />Case 413: Introduction of an Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Lot 2, Block 1, Sunfish <br />Lake Business Park Fourth Addition <br />Motion by Councilmember Dehen, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to introduce an <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of Lot 2, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park Fourth Addition. <br />Councilmember Elvig returned to the Council chambers at 9:53 p.m. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Dehen, Jeffrey, Look, Olson, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Elvig. <br />Case #14: Introduction of an Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Lot 5, Block 4, <br />Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2 <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to introduce an <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of Lot 5, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2. <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br />Case #15: Consider Rejecting All Bids for Sale of 5860 157 Lane as Surplus Property <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that this property was acquired for the purpose of extending <br />Neon Street into the subdivision to the north. He stated that currently there is a residence on this <br />property and the City Council had declared this surplus property for the purpose of attempting to <br />sell it to someone who would move the house off the - .site. He stated that the City received bids, <br />however, there was only one bona fide bid for $103.50 for the base bid of removing the <br />superstructure of the residence. He stated that the other bidders were under the impression that <br />the City would pay them monies to remove the structure. He stated that the City would need to <br />spend $10,000 to remove the foundation ourselves and it does not have funding to do this. He <br />City Council /October 9, 2007 <br />Page 19 of 25 <br />
