Case #6: Zoning Bulletin and Zoning News <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen noted page 46, regarding volunteer programs, cited the City of Minneapolis <br />as being innovative in policing the area for junk cars and run down housing. She added this may be <br />something that Ramsey should consider. <br /> <br />The City Engineer indicated the City is currently interviewing for a Community Development <br />Assistant. He advised one of the responsibilities would he to handle the Code enforcement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen stated she participated recently in a boutique in Coon Rapids and said the Coon <br />Rapids City Technician removed the boutique signs because they did not meet the Coon Rapids sign <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />The City Engineer distributed a survey prepared by Decision Resources. He indicated it had not yet <br />been distributed to the City Council, however, had been distributed to the Park and Recreation Board. <br /> <br />Commissioners Holland and Thorud announced their terms on the Planning Commission expire <br />effective December 31, 1997. Both indicated they will not be reapplying. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden thanked Commissioners Holland and Thorud for being a part of the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Commissioner Thorud, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Thorud, Deemer, <br />Holland, Jensen, and Terry.
