The hay storage building will have an exterior finish of metal panels with brick applied to the <br />lower portion of the west wall. The roof will be a decorative metal also with the appearance of <br />asphalt shingles. <br /> <br />The machinery building will be finished with metal panels and have the same decorative metal <br />roof as the other two structures. <br /> <br />The property is located in the Rural Transition zone and it is not expected to be included in the <br />City's Metropolitan Urban Service Area anytime soon. Therefore, the character of the area is <br />expected to retain its rural nature for an undetermined amount of time. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on March 7, and the Morris' submitted a <br />petition from neighboring property owners supporting their request. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Because of the rural character of the area and it's distance from the MUSA, and the amount of <br />investment the Morris' are willing to make in these accessory buildings to ensure their aesthetic <br />integrity, the Planning Commission and City Staff recommend approval of the request. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #97-03-XXX adopting Findings of Fact #XXXX relating to Rhonda <br />Morhs' request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to approve/deny Rhonda Morris' request for a conditional use permit for an overage in <br />allowable accessory structure space and adopt Resolution #97-03-XXX declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />CC: 03/25/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
