<br />stated that Staff is recommending that the City Council reject the bids with the hope that the <br />market will turn around somewhat and it can be re-bid in the spring. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that he recalled earlier conversations where it was thought that this <br />would not be a losing proposition for the City. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that he had spoken with a home mover last spring who indicated <br />that he felt the City could hope to get from $1,000 to $5,000 for the home. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig suggested that we contact some entities that may be able to have a <br />benefactor purchase the home and donate it to a worthy cause. <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator/Finance Officer Lund stated that this possibility has been brought up <br />in discussion, which is one of the reasons staff is recommending rejection of the bids. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Look to reject all bids for the <br />sale of the surplus property located at 5860 - 157th Lane. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Look, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #15a: Items 9 and 10 ofthe Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson stated that she was concerned that Climb Theater does not meet the 75% <br />lawful purpose expenditure. She stated that she understands from a discussion. with Finance <br />Officer Lund that the City grandfathered them in but noted that she feels it is worthwhile to <br />revisit this issue and make sure Climb is aware that in the future they will need to be able to <br />prove this. <br /> <br />Acting City AdministratorlFinance Officer Lund stated that Climb has to submit quarterly <br />reports and the first report is due October 31, 2007. She stated that Climb has been sent a copy <br />of the ordinance and it was highlighted that if they do not meet the requirements of the permit, <br />their permit could be pulled. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked about the enforcement procedure. <br /> <br />Acting City AdministratorlFinance Officer Lurid explained that if there is a problem, they can go <br />on probation and it they fail again, the issue will come before the City Council and the City <br />Council could choose to revoke their permit. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Look, to approve Consent <br />Agenda items 9 and 10: <br /> <br />9) Adopt Resolution #07-10-276 Approving Climb Theatre, Inc.
