<br />Motion by Councilmember Dehen, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to table action on <br />considering financing for 160th Lane Paving Project, for 30 days to allow for the landowners to <br />work through mediation with the County. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Dehen, Olson, Jeffrey, Look, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />5) Discuss Now and Then Estates Streets <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that a meeting was held with 7 of the 12 property owners of Now <br />and Then Estates to discuss their street. He stated that the property owners would like the City to <br />continue repairing their road until such time as the sewer and water connection will be made to <br />their area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to ratify the <br />recommendation by the Public Works Committee and have the City continue with repairs for the <br />streets within Now and then Estates, until sewer and water is extended, at which time the roads <br />can be reconstructed to current standards. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Dehen, Jeffrey, Look, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />6) Consider Rum River Hills Golf Course Drainage Improvements. <br /> <br />This item was tabled until the October 16,2007 Public Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />7) Receive Petition to Install Stop Signs at Riverdale Drive and Alpaca Street <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City received a petition from neighbors asking for stop <br />signs to be placed on the east and west legs of the intersection of Alpaca Street and Riverdale <br />Drive. He stated that the Committee felt that this was a valid petition. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to ratify the <br />recommendation by the Public Works Committee to direct City staff to conduct an investigation <br />to determine whether it is appropriate to place stop signs for east and west bound Riverdale <br />Drive at the intersection with Alpaca Street. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Dehen stated that he recalls the conversation at the Public <br />Works Committee meeting being that the City would take a look at possible stop sign locations <br />for north and south bound traffic as well. City Engineer Jankowski stated that he also recalls that <br />discussion, but will review the wording of the petition. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
