Should you choose to buy rather than rent a decent, safe, and sanitary replacement house, you <br />will be eligible for a down payment up to $2,856.00 <br />We previously gave you a pamphlet titled "Relocation Assistance to Tenants Displaced from <br />Their Homes." Please review this booklet as it helps to explain your rights and some things you <br />must do to obtain a payment. For example, to obtain relocation benefits you must rent or <br />purchase and move to a decent, safe; and sanitary dwelling within one year after you move from <br />your current unit. Please understand that the replacement dwelling inspection for decent, safe <br />and sanitary requirements is for the sole purpose of determining your eligibility for relocation <br />payment. You must not interpret the agency's approval of a dwelling to provide any assurance or <br />guarantee that there are no deficiencies in the dwelling or in its fixtures and equipment.
