November 2, 2007 <br />Lawrence Axelson <br />6165 Highway 1 O NW <br />Ramsey,.MN 55303 <br />RE: NOTICE OF RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY <br />Dear Mr. Axelson <br />On September 13, 2007, you received general information in regards to the City of <br />Ramsey -and the pending of purchase the property in which you reside. This is a <br />NOTICE OF RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY. To carry out the redevelopment plans it <br />will be necessary for you to move. However, YOU DO NOT NEED TO MOVE NOW. <br />You will not be required to .move without at least 90-days advance written notice <br />notifying you of the. date you must vacate. When you do move, you will be entitled to <br />relocation payments and other assistance in accordance with Federal regulations <br />implementing the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies <br />Act. of 1970, as amended (URA). You should .continue to pay your monthly rent to <br />your landlord because a failure to pay rent and meet your other obligations as a <br />tenant, maybe cause for eviction and loss of relocation assistance. However, <br />relocation benefits are limited to U.S. citizens or residents that are here on a work visa or <br />are a resident alien. <br />Relocation Benefits ~~ <br />A. Move of Personal Property <br />The Agency is responsible for the cost of packing, cartage, and unpacking of your <br />personal property anywhere within a 50-mile radius. This can be accomplished in either <br />two ways. <br />1. Actual Cost The Agency will hire a professional mover to conduct the move on <br />your behalf. The Agency will pay the mover directly. <br />2. Self Move-The Agency will pay you to move yourself. The actual payment is <br />determined by the number of rooms y-0u occupy. <br />B. Replacement Housing Payment <br />You maybe eligible for a replacement housing payment to rent or buy a replacement <br />home. The payment is based on several factors, including the costs of a "comparable <br />replacement home," the monthly rent and average cost of utility services for your present <br />home, or 30% of your average gross household income. <br />-335- <br />^ <br />
