November 2, 2007 Lawrence Axelson 6165 Highway 1 O NW Ramsey,.MN 55303 RE: NOTICE OF RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY Dear Mr. Axelson On September 13, 2007, you received general information in regards to the City of Ramsey -and the pending of purchase the property in which you reside. This is a NOTICE OF RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY. To carry out the redevelopment plans it will be necessary for you to move. However, YOU DO NOT NEED TO MOVE NOW. You will not be required to .move without at least 90-days advance written notice notifying you of the. date you must vacate. When you do move, you will be entitled to relocation payments and other assistance in accordance with Federal regulations implementing the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act. of 1970, as amended (URA). You should .continue to pay your monthly rent to your landlord because a failure to pay rent and meet your other obligations as a tenant, maybe cause for eviction and loss of relocation assistance. However, relocation benefits are limited to U.S. citizens or residents that are here on a work visa or are a resident alien. Relocation Benefits ~~ A. Move of Personal Property The Agency is responsible for the cost of packing, cartage, and unpacking of your personal property anywhere within a 50-mile radius. This can be accomplished in either two ways. 1. Actual Cost The Agency will hire a professional mover to conduct the move on your behalf. The Agency will pay the mover directly. 2. Self Move-The Agency will pay you to move yourself. The actual payment is determined by the number of rooms y-0u occupy. B. Replacement Housing Payment You maybe eligible for a replacement housing payment to rent or buy a replacement home. The payment is based on several factors, including the costs of a "comparable replacement home," the monthly rent and average cost of utility services for your present home, or 30% of your average gross household income. -335- ^
