You are not required to disclose your income, but it may be advantageous to you <br />resulting in a larger rental assistance payment if you meet the HUD Annual Survey of <br />Income Limits for Public Housing Section 8 Programs. <br />1. Rental Assistant PaymentIf you chose to rent a replacement dwelling, the <br />Agency maybe responsible for a payment to cover the increased costs, if any, of <br />renting a "comparable dwelling. The agency's responsibility is for 42-month <br />period of time. <br />2. Downpayment Assistance-If you choose to purchase a replacement dwelling the <br />agency will assist you with the downpayment. The. maximum downpayment is <br />the amount of rental assistance, for a period of 42 months to cover the increased <br />monthly costs. of a comparable rental dwelling. <br />To receive either replacement housing payment, you must occupy a decent, safe and <br />sanitary dwelling unit within 12 months of your displacement. The inspection.is done by <br />Wilson Development Services: Please understand that the replacement dwelling <br />inspection for decent, safe and sanitary requirements is .for the sole purpose of <br />determining your eligibility for relocation payment. You must not interpret the agency's <br />approval of a dwelling to provide any assurance or guarantee that there are no <br />deficiencies in the dwelling or in its fixtures and equipment. It is therefore, your <br />responsibility to protect your best interest and investment in the purchase or rental of <br />your replacement property and you must clearly understand that Wilson Development <br />Services and the agency will assume no responsibility or blame if structural, mechanical, <br />legal or other unforeseen problems are discovered. <br />The agency has retained our services, Wilson Development Services, a relocation <br />consultant firm that specializes in assisting people. displaced by public action. In addition <br />to relocation payments and housing referrals, counseling and other services are available <br />to you. <br />90 Day Notice to Vacate <br />Please note that you will NOT be required to move without at least a 90 day written <br />notice. You cannot be required to move permanently unless at least one comparable <br />replacement dwelling has been made available. <br />A~ heals <br />You can appeal any decision by the agency with regard to eligibility and the amount of <br />the claim.
