Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to recommend that the City <br />Council consider a resolution appointing Randy Backus to the Park and Recreation Commission <br />and Thomas Stodola to the Environmental Policy Board. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Dehen and Olson. .Voting No: <br />None. Absent: Chairperson Jeffrey. <br />Case #2: Consider Authorization to Hire apart-Time Police Technician <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that the Personnel Committee also recommended that <br />Stacy Michelson be hired to fill the part-time Police Technician position that Kelly Schmidt <br />vacated on August 17, 2007. She noted that the starting salary for Ms. Michelson will be $16.23 <br />and her employment will be subject to a six month probationary period and all other personnel <br />policies will apply normally. <br />Mayor Gamec asked if this employee would need to sign a special confidentiality agreement. <br />Police Chief Way stated that they did not have to sign anything special. <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to recommend that the City <br />Council hire Stacy Michelson as a part-time Police Technician at an hourly rate of $16.23, <br />effective October 24, 2007. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Dehen and Olson. Voting No: <br />None. Absent:.
