He stated that rather than removing Section 3, it could be changed <br />to future tense. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he would like Section 3 to be changed to future tense. <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained that typically these ordinances have- been adopted after the <br />Purchase Agreement has been signed, however, staff would like to have the ordinance ahead of <br />time. <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Ordinance # 07- <br />18 which is an ordinance declaring Lot 5, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2 as <br />surplus property and authorizing its sale, with the language in Section 3 to be changed from past <br />tense to future tense. <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br />Mayor Gamec: aye <br />Councilmember Dehen: aye <br />Councilmember Elvig: aye <br />Councilmember Look: aye <br />Councilmember Olson: aye <br />Councilmember Jeffrey: absent <br />Councilmember Strommen: absent <br />Motion carried. <br />Case #6: Adopt Ordinance Declaring Land as Surplus for Property and Authorizing <br />the Sale of Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2 <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated that this property is similar to Case #5 and <br />is in the same vicinity. <br />Councilmember Olson stated that she would like to see the language changed in Section 3 of the <br />ordinance to future tense. <br />Councilmember Look asked for the size of the lots in Case #5 and Case #6. <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated that the property in Case # 5 was 1.7 acres <br />and the property in Case #6 was 1.2 acres. <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Ordinance #07- <br />19 which is an ordinance declaring Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2 as <br />surplus property and authorizing its sale, with the language in Section 3 to be changed from past <br />tense to future tense. <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br />City Council /October 23, 2007 <br />Page 13 of 21 <br />
