Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Jensen to amend #19 to read <br />"That the addition of two youth at the residence will be served adequately by essential public <br />facilities and services such as schools, parks, streets, police and fire protection." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Holland, Jensen, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Terry to amend #20 to read <br />"That the addition of two youth at the residence will not create excessive additional requirements al <br />public cost for public facilities and services." <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Thorud inquired "who determines excessive?" <br /> <br />Motion carded. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #21 to read <br />"That the addition of two youth at the residence will not involve uses, activities, processes, <br />materials and equipment and conditions of operation that will be detrimental to any neighboring <br />properties or persons by reason of excessive production of traffic, noise, or odors." <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Thorud commented "The neighboring properties or persons <br />told us they didn't care for it. Commissioner Holland pointed out that there were no objections to <br />excessive noise, odors or traffic. Mr. McLafferty did note there was an objection to a basketball <br />game after midnight; he added that he doesn't allow such and if it occurred it was without his <br />permission. He also stated that he has two vehicles. Chairperson Deemer inquired whether any of <br />the boys drive. Mr. McLafferty replied that out of the last five years he has had two kids with their <br />own car. Now one is in college and the other is working locally. Commissioner Jensen inquired <br />as to the maximum number of cars parked at the residence. Mr. McLafferty replied he owns <br />approximately 8 cars, and explained that he collects cars but stores some in Wisconsin leaving an <br />average of 4-5 cars on the property at any given time. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Holland, LaDue, Jensen, and Terry. Voting No: <br />Chairperson Deemer and Commissioner Thorud. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner Holland to add a finding <br />reflecting that the applicant returned to the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes.' Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Thorud, Holland, Jensen, <br />LaDue, and Terry. Voting No: None.
