PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Chairperson Deemer adjourned the regular Planning Commission meeting at 7:51 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearings: <br /> <br />1) Request to Rezone Certain Property from B-1 Business to R-1 Rural Residential; Case of Ann <br /> Moroz <br /> <br />2) Request for Preliminary Plat Approval of Rabbit Run; Case of Jon Rambosek, S.L. Dream <br /> Homes <br /> <br />3) Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Group Foster Care Home; Case of Patrick <br /> McLafferty <br /> <br />Chairperson Deemer called the regular Planning Commission meeting back to order at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Discuss Recruitment and Qualifications for Planning Commission <br /> Members <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that Administrative Services Manager Linda Walte Smith <br />was unable to attend tonight's meeting, however, Ms. Waite Smith requested that she be allowed <br />to present this case at the June meeting of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to table this case until <br />the June meeting of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Holland, LaDue, Jensen, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request to Rezone Certain Property from B-I Business to R-I Rural <br />Residential; Case of Ann Moroz <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Ann Moroz has applied to rezone Lots 6 and 7 of Block <br />1 in Golden Eagle Estates from B-1 Business to R-1 Rural Residential. The property is <br />surrounded by parcels which are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. City Staff recommends approval of <br />the request. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland inquired where the lots would have access. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik replied that access would be off of Willemite Street (not Variolite). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission proceeded to review the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to accept #1 through #8 <br />as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Holland, Thorud, Jensen, <br />LaDue, and Terry. Voting No: None.
