Absent: None. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission proceeded to review the proposed Resolution for the Conditional Use <br />Permit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that the sign exhibit shown by the applicant proposes more than what <br />is stated in condition//3. Mr. Holm stated that they would like to display more than the business <br />identification. Commissioner Deemer stated that #3 needs to be modified. Chairperson Bawden <br />asked for the intent of Condition #3. Ms. Frolik explained that there will be three signs rather than <br />one, with twice the sign space allowed, and it is considered off-site advertising; therefore, the <br />message should be restricted. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to amend condition #3 <br />to state, "The sign message is herein restricted to identify the occupant and the services offered in the <br />structure at 6720 Riverdale Drive NW". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Deemer, Jensen, <br />LaDue, Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Jensen to recommend that City <br />Council approve the request for a conditional use permit and adopt a resolution declaring terms of <br />the same. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Thorud asked how the next request for off-site advertising sign <br />will be handled. Commissioner Holland stated the Planning Commission will have to review each <br />case. Commissioner Deemer explained that Ramsey businesses will probably be allowed. <br />Chairperson Bawden stated that the previous problems stem from off-site advertising of national <br />products. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland asked for clarification of condition/to,. Ms. Frolik explained that condition <br />#4 was for verification purposes. Commissioner Holland stated that he would not like less than what <br />was shown in the drawing at this meeting. Ms. Frolik added that this still requires City Council <br />approval. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Personal Communication Service <br />Tower; Case of American Portable Telecom <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik explained that this was a request for a conditional use permit to <br />construct a 165 foot lattice tower. She added that the tower would be on a 5-0' x 50' section of the <br />subject property.
