Spring, 1997. Commissioner Deemer indicated there would be a grace period (until November, 1997) to
comply with the ordinance at hand.

6) Leo Anderson 15840 Juniper Ridge Drive N.W., Ramsey, inquired about the distinction made between
prepared surfaces requirements in/out of the MUSA line. Chairperson Bawden clarified even those living
within the MUSA line will have to provide a prepared surface (i.e. blacktop/concrete) for
vehicles/equipment to be parked on. Mr. Leo Anderson expressed confusion about why the City would
want prepared surfaces in the wetlands areas (within the MUSA line) which would diminish the nature
concept. Chairperson Bawden responded compromise was a major issue in the formulation of the
ordinance at hand. Mr. Anderson was referred to the map outlining the MUSA line boundaries. Mr.
Anderson confirmed his ability to address Council as a concerned resident at its regular meetings.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to close the public hearing.

Motion Carded.
