FC CASE <br /> <br />REVIEW SCHEDULE OF RATES, FEES AND CHARGES <br /> By: Jessie Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Attached is the current Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges which details the fees charged for <br />various services and products. This information is being provided to yot/at this time for review <br />purposes only. <br /> <br />In the past Staff has made recommendations on increases/decreases prior to Council review. It is <br />anticipated that all of the licenses, fees and other charges imposed by the City will be reviewed in <br />great detail in the next year. The results of this review will determine what rates will be changed, <br />added or deleted in the next year. <br /> <br />At this time we do know that the service availability charge will be going up for 1997. These <br />moneys are not retained by the City - they are a pass through to the Metropolitan Council <br />Environmental Services [MCES]. There are other charges that will increase based on annual <br />inflators and it is relatively certain that charges for water and sewer will be increased for 1997. <br /> <br />Please take the time to review the attached schedule and contact Staff with any questions or <br />recommendations for increases, decreases, additions or deletions. Staff will also be reviewing <br />this schedule and will present recommendations for adjustments at the December 10, 1996 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />None required at this time - for discussion purposes only. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />FC: 11/26/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
