The resident expressed urgency for that light as she felt it was as much needed at 142nd as it is at <br />149th. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin stated that the City is looking at enticing the corridor. The Transportation Impact <br />Fee the City just implemented could be a possible funding source. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer inquired if the letter from the County Engineer will be implemented and <br />taken care of in the study. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski assured her it would be. <br /> <br />Mr. Eyler reiterated that the comments received from the County Engineer were of a technical <br />nature. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman commented that before the City started the study of #47, the State had <br />suggested there was no money to do it. Now that the City got it going, with the County as a major <br />player, turn lanes have become part of the plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen stated that Council is taking this study very seriously especially because of <br />the accident history. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to direct SRF to <br />prepare responses to the comments made by the public and the reviewing agencies. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Adopt Ordinance to Rezone Certain Property from Industrial To R-1 <br /> Urban Residential; Case of Good Value Homes <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Good Value Homes is in the process of platting Pondview. <br />The property is zoned Industrial and a rezoning to R-1 Urban Residential is necessary for that <br />portion to be developed with single family lots. On March 12, 1996, Council adopted the findings <br />of fact and introduced an ordinance for rezoning. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued relating to roll call votes and Attorney Goodrich offered to research whether <br />or not resolutions and ordinances require this process. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to waive the reading of <br />the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmernber Zimmerman to adopt <br />Ordinance 4196-06 to rezone certain property in Section 27 from Industrial to R-1 Urban <br />Residential. <br /> <br />Roll call vote called for by Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer Yes <br />Councilmember Peterson Yes <br />Mayor Hardin Yes <br />Councilmember Zimmerman Yes <br /> <br />City Council/March 26, 1996 <br /> Page 9 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
