Mr. Delaney: No, that's part of the fair. People expect to get to shoot.

Mr. Thorud: Is there any way to put the shooting at the gun club.

Mr. Wetterlind to Mr. Delaney: You have 80 acres. Why can't you move it down past me?

Mr. Delaney: We will be shooting northwest off the comer of our property. It will be the opposite
way. I know of the problem and we are going to try to resolve it.

Mr. Wetterlind: I am more than willing to see how that works. No one is watching the kind of
shells brought in.

Mr. Delaney: Yes, we do, we do the best we can. We allow nothing bigger than 7-1/2 shot size,
but if one slips through, it does. We do monitor as best we can.

Mr. Wetterlind: Maybe you could not allow them to bring in shells.

Mr. Delaney: I cannot frisk them, we try to watch it and we have signs. We spend thousands of
dollars on signs. I have two guys hired to monitor this and all I can say is I will try to do a better
job.

Resident: Maybe you want to check further with people near Mr. Wetterlind. I have heard a
couple people disgusted about continuous shooting.

Mr. Delaney: I would like residents to talk to me if they have any problems.

Resident: Maybe you could shut down a couple hours a day.

Mr. Delaney: We shut down for a lunch break. This year we will be trying a different type of
shooting. We do not know how it will work, but we cannot cut the shooting out. You have been
honest with me by calling and I have always been honest with you by coming to see what I can do
about your concerns.

Mr. Wetterlind: I am just saying the noise is too much.

Mr. Delaney: We will try to do a better job.

Resident: For your exhibitors - 161st from the Kennels to Armstrong - it's not a speed-way from
6:30 to 7:00. They should be more courteous.

Mr. Delaney: We can post a speed limit sign and post notice in their bulletin.

Resident: This feels very unsafe. I live on the east comer across from the park. I see just about
everything that goes on.

Mr. Delaney: You should be my reporter.

Resident: Does anyone check to see if their guns are unloaded. Is there any type of check down
on the guns and the dogs to make sure the dogs have had their rabies shots, etc. I feel the law
enforcement should be in the area checking these sorts of things.

Mr. Delaney: The guns are cased. We have had no problem in the past. We try to keep it as safe
as possible.

Game Fair Neighborhood Meeting/March 28, 1996
Page 6 of 7
