Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Award Bids for Central Parks Field Lighting and Flintwood Terrace <br /> Playground <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported that the Finance Committee recommended awarding the bids for the <br />Flintwood Terrace playground and 'also the Central Park athletic field lighting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt <br />Resolution ~96-04-097 receiving bids and awarding contract for the installation of play equipment <br />at Flintwood Terrace Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Peterson, Beahen and <br />Beyer. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution <br />#96-04-098 receiving bids and awarding contract for the purchase and installation of athletic field <br />lighting for softball fields 3 and 4 at Central Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Finance Committee Input <br /> <br />1 ) Environmental Expo <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee were informed that there would be no <br />Environmental Expo with the Tree Sale but that Mark Boos and Bruce Bacon will be presenting <br />some alternatives at a subsequent meeting; one being to have it in conjunction with the Business <br />Expo/Community Picnic. <br /> <br />2) Tree Planting Ceremony <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that staff feels it is beneficial to have a tree planting ceremony and the <br />consensus of the Finance Committee was that the ceremony would take place at approximately 9:00 <br />a.m., on May 4. The hope is that at least one or two Councilmembers could be present. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Spring Events <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder announced that Saturday April 27 is the date for the Pet Clinic and <br />May 4th is the date for all the other spring events. <br /> <br />2) Flintwood Terrace <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder explained that what was approved tonight for Flintwood Terrace is a <br />direct result of what residents asked for in 1992. City Council attempted to use CDBG funds for <br />this but the average income in that area was too high. This request was then put into the CIP for <br />1996.
