Ron Stewart, 8284 - 174th Avenue NW, Ramsey, stated that he is one of the service technicians.
He explained that this would impact him economically and he did not understand why this is
coming up. He felt that the City may be putting some people's livelihood in jeopardy. It was
suggested that a person could add onto their garage. He stated that he cannot afford an extra
$8,000 to do that. He hoped the City would consider the impact this would have on quite a few
individuals in the community.

Thomas Williams, 5180 - 157th Lane NW, Ramsey, stated that commercial vehicles, one ton or
heavier, are not currently allowed. We did not address screening - we modified section e
dealing with who the vehicle is registered to.

Ms. Frolik stated that the Planning Commission determined that all commercial use vehicles would
be subject to the same. It's too difficult to monitor vehicles by weight, etc. She stated that she
also talked with Mr. Hendriksen of Minnegasco and he pointed out the ordinance that the City of
Bloomington has with regard to commercial vehicles. She noted that their ordinance states that any
vehicle can be stored on the property if it does not exceed 7'6" in height or 22 feet in length. If it
does, it would have to be screened.

Councihnember Beyer stated there are no exceptions in this ordinance for even overnight company.
If someone wants to get nasty, they could call in an complain.
