CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 1996 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW., Ramsey, MN. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE FOR THE FOLLOWING CHARTER COMMISSION MEMBERS: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin announced that Judy Mam and Jay Swokowski have been reappointed and Susan E. <br />Anderson and Judy Roffhave been newly appointed to the Charter Commission. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich administered the oath of office to Susan E. Anderson. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Sharon Green, 5858 - 151st Avenue, read a prepared statement expressing concern regarding Project <br />/t95-14 on 151st Lane NW and reminding the Council and staff that this project was properly <br />petitioned for and ordered by vote of Council under the codes and statutes effective at that time. Due <br />to the recent Charter amendment affecting this project, Ms. Green suggested the City Attorney be <br />directed to aggressively pursue a legal decision on the legality of changing the revenue stream on a <br />previously approved and ordered project retroactively. Ms. Green asserted the Charter and codes <br />in effect at the time the project was ordered should prevail and noted the project was completed and <br /> <br />City Council/July 9, 1996 <br /> Page 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
