9/11/96

Ramsey city Council

Re: closure of section of 191st Ave.

Mr. Mayor, and Council members,

I am unable to attend this meeting because of my work hours,
but wish to voice my opposition to the closure of 171st ave.
between Zeolite and Bison.

As an eighteen year Resident of this neighborhood, and a
taxpayer, I find the closure of this road to create a private
driveway for one or two people unbelieveable.

For many of us in Golden Eagle Eagle Estates, especially those
of us with children, this section of road is a direct link
with Bison street, and all the homes west of Bison.

Because of the curves, and hills on county road 63, I will
not allow my children to ride bikes, or walk on this road~
the visibility is very bad, and there is no shoulder, in my
opiDion it is only a matter of time before a child is
seriously injured or killed riding in this area.

I ask for your immediate action to recind the "temporary"
order of closure, and to re-open this section of public
road for the usage of all of the local residents, and
stop pandering to the few who are taking advantage
of this situation at the expese of the majority in the
neighborhoods who did't realise until to late what was
happening.

~Respecfully,

Kim W.
