Dear City Engineer; <br /> <br />RECEIVtU <br /> <br /> I am unable to attend the meeting September 11, 1996 and I am <br />writing to let my opinion be known and heard. I am in dissagreement <br />to the city putting up the road black for several reasons° <br /> <br />1. By the city closing the road the city is doing the.work we pay <br /> our police force to~ do,which is controlling the speed limit <br /> of neighboring cars, etc. <br /> <br /> My children are grown now and I have lived in my home at this <br /> Ramsey address since 1978. I had three small children, the <br /> neighbor next door had five children, and the neighbor directly <br /> across the street had two small children. We did not allow our <br /> children to accupy the road (Willemite) do to all 'the traffic~ <br /> We, as accountable parents knew it was our responsibility to <br /> reg~late where and when it was safe for them to Play with-in <br /> the neighborhood. In fact~ those of us that did day-care knew <br /> that the trsffic flow in the neighborhood and around our homes <br /> was only our responsibility where any child was concerned~ <br /> <br />3. The months you have chose to close this road are not going to <br /> affect the home in question because school is in session and <br /> their children will be in school the majority of the time the <br /> road is designated to be c!osed~ <br /> <br />4. My taxes pay for all the roads with-in the county of Ramsey and <br /> it !.s not fair to close the road for one family and not for ali_ <br /> tax payers. I~ the city feels this way L would gladly have had my <br /> <br /> road closed each and every we~kend so to increased traffic flow <br /> and I ~ad to limit where my chJ!drep could ride their bikes on <br /> we~kends~ If the road is to be closed for t:~affic control <br /> fo.~ one family then I think the party concerned, should buy <br /> the ?and the road is on and the road should no longer be <br /> <br /> <br />
