PUBLIC HEARINGS

Chairperson Deemer adjourned the regular Board of Adjustment meeting at 7:04 p.m. in order to
conduct the following public hearings:

Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer the Front
Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of David Clampitt

Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer the Front
Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of Stephen Schmidt

Chairperson Deemer called the regular Board of Adjustment meeting back to order at 7:06 p.m.

BOARD BUSINESS

Case #1:

Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer the Front
Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of David Clampitt

Chairperson Deemer questioned the legal description, as the road easement for County Road #56 is
40 feet rather than 33 feet. Ms. Frolik explained that she obtained this information from Anoka
County and added that the 33 foot easement was a private easement. Board Member LaDue stated
that will have no effect on the variance.

Chairperson Deemer stated he had no problem with approving the variance, but would like the
incorrect legal description resolved.

Stephen Upton, 16101 Ramsey Boulevard NW, explained that he was the property owner north of
this property. Mr. Upton explained that he was in favor of the variance. He stated that the additional
accessory structure was a responsible way for the applicant to store his vehicles. Mr. Upton added
that the structure would not be visible from his property, as there were trees and another structure
blocking the site.

The Board of Adjustment proceeded to review the Findings of Fact.

Motion by Board Member Bawden and seconded by Board Member Terry to amend #1 through #15
in the affirmative.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Terry, Holland, Jensen,
LaDue, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: None.

Motion by Board Member Bawden and seconded by Board Member Terry to adopt Resolution #96-
09-212 adopting Findings of Fact #0409 relating to David Clampitt's request for a variance.

Board of Adjustment/September 3, 1996
