Absent: Commissioners McGhee and Ullen. <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Interview Applicants for the Economic Development Commission Vacancy <br />(Continued). <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner inquired whether both candidates would be interested in being appointed to the <br />Economic Development Commission as it appeared that we will have two vacancies. <br /> <br />Both candidates responded that they would. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Stafki to appoint Judy Roff to a term <br />set to expire on January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Kent, Stafki, and Nelson. Voting <br />No: None. Absent: Commissioners McGhee and Ullen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Stafki and seconded by Commissioner Nelson to appoint Mr. Rohrer to a term <br />set to expire on January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners McGhee and Ullen. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Monument Entrance Signs. <br /> <br />In the past, the EDC has discussed the development of additional entrance signs for the City of Ramsey. <br />Based upon this discussion, the Commission has recommended the placement of entrance signs similar <br />to the one currently located on County Road #83 just north of Highway #10. These signs would be <br />located at the following locations: <br /> <br /> County Road #22 from Elk River <br /> Armstrong Boulevard from Bums Township <br />· County Road #5 (Nowthen Boulevard) from Bums Township <br />· Highway #47 from Burns Township <br />· County Road #7 from Oak Grove <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Kent to purchase five entrance signs <br />similar to the one currently located on County Road #83 for a cost not to exceed $300 per sign. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Kent, Stafki, and Nelson. Voting <br />No: None. Absent: Commissioners McGhee and Ullen. <br /> <br />The Minnesota Department of Transportation is currently reviewing the redevelopment of the wayside <br />rest located on the western boundary of Ramsey. This wayside rest is presently identified as the Dayton <br />Economic Development Commission/January 4, 1996 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
