COMMISSION BUSINESS

Case #1: Ramsey Business EXPO 1996.

Mr. Gromberg reported that he met with Commissioner Kent on the previous Tuesday to review
the proposed brochure for the 1996 Ramsey Business EXPO. The 1996 brochure will be larger
and outsourced for the actual printing, allowing for the use of pictures of the 1995 Ramsey
Business EXPO making a more accurate portrayal of the event.

The EDC reviewed the brochure, making some minor changes to the text.

Mr. Gromberg stated that he has contacted both Apres and CEI as to the cost of the booth and
tent rental. The prices are the same as in 1995, and they will be able to follow the same general
schedule. Based upon these quotes, Mr. Gromberg suggested that the booth rental rate remain at
$85. Advertisement of the event is scheduled for the next issue of the Ramsey Resident
newsletter. The article was presented to the EDC for their review.

Commissioner Kent suggested additional promotion in the next issue of the Business Newsletter.

The EDC agreed that this would be a good way to advertise the event.

Chairperson Wagner inquired as to the possibility of having an insert, in addition to the article,
placed in the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce newsletter.

Mr. Gromberg said that he would contact Mr. Turok regarding the cost and having the insert
ready for the next issue.

It was the consensus of the EDC to proceed with the planning of the 1996 Ramsey Business
EXPO as outlined in the case with the changes suggested by the Commissioners.

Case #2: Business Appreciation Day.

Mr. Gromberg reports that he has spoken with people from The Links at Northfork and they are
comfortable with splitting the event with the golf being at The Links and the meal being served
at JR's Entertainment Center. A price quote from JR's has not yet been received; but should be
in the range of $11 to $12 per meal. This will allow us to use the $65 per participant limit
discussed at the March meeting.

Motion by Commissioner Stafki and seconded by Commissioner Ullen to table this issue until a
bid is received from JR's Entertainment Center.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Kent, Nelson, Stafki, Ullen,
Rohrer, and Roff. Voting No: None.

Economic Development Commission/April 4, 1996
Page 2 of 3
