<br />Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-11-228 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0837 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM GENE AND CINDY GOEDE FOR AN INTERIM USE PERMIT FOR <br />AN OVERSIZING OF AN ACCESSORY BUILDING ON A SINGLE PROPERTY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Gene and Cindy Goede on <br />October 22, 2008 for an interim use permit to exceed the total amount of accessory structure <br />space permitted on the property generally known as 17725 Baugh Street N.W. and legally <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />The south 495 feet of the west 880 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter <br />of Section 6, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota as measured at right <br />angles to the south and west lines thereof (subject to County Road No. 83 Baugh Street) <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />. to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />1. That on October 23, 2008, Gene and Cindy Goede, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"Applicant", properly applied for an interim use permit (the "Permit") to exceed the <br />amount of accessory structure square footage allowed by City Code Section 9.11.02 by <br />880 square feet to allow construction of a 4,000 square foot accessory structure (the <br />"Structure"). <br /> <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on November 6,2008 and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-l Rural Developing. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 9.3 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels ofland of this size, <br />the total square footage of the main garage and all accessory buildings shall not exceed <br />5,100 square feet and that oversizing of accessory structures is a conditional use under <br />City Code Section 9.20.11. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant is proposing to use a portion of the Structure for a home occupation to <br />operate a tree service on the Subject Property. <br />
