<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />Member Absent: Councilmember David Elvig <br /> <br />Also Present: ) City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Associate Planner Timothy Gladhill <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Consider Dates for 2009 Council-Staff Strategic Planning Session <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that each year the City has had an annual session to determine <br />the work plan for the coming year and to look ahead to the future. He stated that last year there <br />was a Friday afternoon and Saturday morning session, but staff would like to see how it would <br />work if it was held two evenings in a row, rather than over a weekend. He stated that staff would <br />prefer two weeknights and some options they came up with are January 21, 22 or February 11 <br />and 12th. He stated that, in the past, the City has brought in a facilitator that charges a few <br />thousand dollars, but he feels the issues being discussed this year could be facilitated by staff. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session IJanuary 6, 2009 <br />Page 1 of 16 <br />
