CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />City Administrator Kurds Ulrich <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Development Services Manager Timothy Gladhill <br />Management Analyst Patrick Brama <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Development Manager Darren Lazan <br />Interim Engineer Shane Nelson <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:15 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Consider Request for Reimbursement of Utility Repair Costs — PSD, LLC <br />City Administrator Ulrich and Development Manager Lazan reviewed the staff report. It was <br />noted PSD, LLC has submitted a request to the City Council to be reimbursed for some costs <br />incurred during the construction of the Ramsey Office Plaza, claiming there were errors in the <br />installation of utilities in Sunwood and Sapphire that caused additional costs associated with the <br />construction of its utility connections. <br />Councilmember McGlone asked what makes it different from other situations when the City <br />installed things. <br />Councilmember Strommen asked whether the City Administrator, at that time, had the authority <br />to commit to that expenditure. <br />City Council Work Session / July 31, 2012 <br />Page 1 of 18 <br />
