CHARTER CO~,~ISSION <br />CITY OF RA}~SEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey Charter Commission was held on Thursday, <br />July 14, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Heitman, Chairman <br />Mr. Thomas Gamec (arrived at 7:43 p.m.) <br />Mr. Stan Data <br />Mr. Tom Greenberg <br />Mr. Dick Sieber <br />Mr. Roger Buchanan <br />Ms. Brenda Bauerkemper <br />Mr. Curt Titterud <br /> <br />Mr. John Lichter <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman called the regular meeting of Ramsey Charter Commission to <br />order at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the regular Charter Commission minutes dated June 23, <br />1983, specifically Commissioner Gamec's motion to adjourn on Page 7. Coramission <br />consensus is that business on the floor should be completed before any other <br />motions are entertained, that motions to adjourn would not be appropriate <br />until all votes are in or all ballots counted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Buchanan referred to paragraph 11 of page 5~of the June 23, 1983 <br />minutes and stated that he had intended for the minutes to reflect that <br />groups and individuals, either for or against a charter, should be approached <br />by the Charter Commission for their input. 7~o.J~ ~ <br /> <br />Commissioner Buchanan referred to Page 6, paragraph 4 of the June 23, 1983 <br />Charter Commission minutes and stated that he and Commissioner Sieber are not <br />saying that public hearings are not necessary, but at this time the overall $ <br />reaction of the public is that they would like to see the proposed charter <br />prior to making any Judgements. <br /> <br />Regarding Page 2, paragraph 8 of the June 23, 1983 Charter Conmuission minutes, <br />Co~mmissioner Data stated that it should have read: o~mm~sszoner Data ~ ~~.,~_~ <br />suggested . . ." <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauerkemper and seconded by Commissioner Sieber to approve <br />the regular Charter Conm~ission meeting minutes dated June 23, 1983. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Heitman, Commissioners Gamec, Data, <br />Greenberg, Sieber, Buchanan, Bauerkemper..~Voting No:~ None. Abstain: <br />Commissioner Titterud.
