PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, <br />February 10, 1981, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />Building Official Berg <br />Press Representative Sandin <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Douglas Fountain, 15255 Garnet Street, presented a black-top petition <br />for streets in the Peltzer Addition, part of Beaudry's Addition. <br /> <br />Benjamin Deemer represented a hockey association and asked for permission <br />to use the fire barn for hockey parents on Saturday and Sunday, February <br />14 and 15 from 11:00 on. He said there would be an attendant on duty at <br />all time. <br /> <br />Benjamin Deemer inquired about his plat and the Council agreed it would be <br />scheduled for the February 24th regular meeting. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Attendance of Anoka County Sheriff. <br /> <br />The City Council requested the Anoka County Sheriff's Department to attend <br />the regular City Council meeting to discuss functions of the Sheriff and <br />Undersheriff in the county. <br /> <br />Undersheriff Donald Dwyer addressed the Council questions and stated <br />there are 6 Chiefs of Police in the Major Crime Unit, major crimes <br />are crimes against persons. Mayor Gamec asked about how to reach <br />the City police on duty when the office is closed. Undersheriff Dwyer <br />stated everything is recorded at central and presented Mayor Gamec with <br />a status card showing when the Ramsey Police are on and off duty. He <br />stated approximately 90% of the time a call is returned right away. The <br />only time a call would not be returned right away, would be when the <br /> <br />C/FebruarYllO, 1981 <br /> <br /> <br />
