CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />1. <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Melody Shryock <br />Councilmember Kristine Williams <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief Jeff Katers <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:35 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Amend City Funds Policy/Review Respective Fund Balances and Amend Excess <br />Revenue Transfer Policy <br />Finance Director Lund reviewed the staff report. <br />Mayor Strommen clarified that this would be more of an emergency maintenance fund. She <br />noted she was not here for the original discussion, so she wanted to be clear that this is a <br />completely different use of this fund than it was. <br />Finance Director Lund replied in the affirmative. She explained there is no maintenance fund <br />that could be used for an emergency, except for the Parks Maintenance Fund.
