CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Mayor LeTourneau called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:34 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Discuss Criminal Prosecution Services Contract <br />City Administrator Ulrich provided background information explaining the difference in services <br />provided by the City Attorney and the criminal prosecution services received by the City. He <br />explained that the prosecutor works directly with the police department and has little interaction <br />with the City Council. <br />Police Chief Katers reviewed the staff report. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that the prosecutor works directly with the officers and works <br />with them when they do need to testify. He stated that the Council can provide policy direction <br />on which cases to stand strong on and not plea bargain, if desired. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that there were some items that were resolved and asked for <br />details. <br />City Council Work Session / July 26, 2016 <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />
