Adm i r'strato sReport - November 24, 2021 City Meetings Thursday and Friday, November 25 and 26, 2021 City Offices will be Closed in Observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday Tuesday, November 30, 2021 6:00 pm — Ramsey Annual Tree Lighting Event — Ramsey City Hall Lobby Area Preview of Next Week Ramsey Holiday Tree Lighting. Join Ramsey Mayor Mark Kuzma and Council Members for the annual tree lighting event at City Hall, Tuesday, November 30, at 6:00 pm. After the lighting, stay outdoors for a horse drawn trolley ride, or warm up inside City Hall for a cup of hot cocoa and cookies - generously provided by the Ramsey Lions. Santa will also be making a visit, so don't forget your lists and a camera for a photo or two! At 6:30 pm we'll do a Create -Your -Own polymer clay ornament. There's lots of fun to be had with the whole family, so save the date! Attached to the Weekly Update is the Ramsey Holiday Tree Lighting Event Flyer. Council Update Welcome New Ramsey Business. Attached to the Weekly Update is a Welcome Letter for Jernell Realty. Recycle Holiday Lights. The Ramsey Municipal Center will be serving as a drop-off location for recycling holiday lights. All strands of holiday lights, whether they work or not, can be dropped off at the Ramsey Municipal Center (7550 Sunwood Drive NW) during regular business hours (Monday — Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) beginning December 1 through the end of January, 2022. All light strands will be recycled and there is no cost to residents for this service. Please remember that while strands of holiday lights are recyclable, they cannot be placed in your curbside recycling cart. Please remove light strands from any plastic framing/shapes before dropping them off. Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet. The City of Ramsey is a collection site for Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet this holiday season. Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet are non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that assist Anoka County families in providing gifts and meals to their children during the holidays. Cash donations can be dropped in the "Cash Can" at the front desk in the lobby. Non-perishable food items, new toys, books and clothing items are also being collected through Wednesday, December 15. These items can be placed in the drop box found in the lobby of Ramsey City Hall during business hours (Monday — Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm).
