City UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report <br />Council Update <br />City Council Highlights - May 13 <br />Presentation <br />This regular City Council meeting began with a <br />presentation proclaiming May as Amyotrophic Lateral <br />Sclerosis (ALS) awareness month. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Following the presentation, the City Council <br />unanimously passed 18 Consent Agenda items. <br />Public Hearing <br />One Public Hearing on the docket considered a <br />request for an Easement Vacation in HY-10 Ramsey <br />2nd Addition and Final Plat of "Kwik Trip 1782." The <br />Planning Commission will hear the conditional use permit <br />for the Motor Fuel Station and Car Wash on Thursday, <br />May 22nd. This request includes an Easement Vacation to <br />vacate all current easements on the property, and a Final <br />Plat to subdivide the property that currently straddles <br />Ferret Street to create a 3.35-acre lot for Kwik Trip. <br />Council approved the easement and final plat. <br />Council Business <br />Council Business included two cases. The first case <br />was to Adopt Resolution #25-099 Accepting Bids and <br />Awarding Contract for Dickenson's Mississippi Estate <br />Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-04. This <br />project proposes to reconstruct Tungsten Street between <br />Riverdale Drive and Rivlyn Avenue. The streets total 0.26 <br />miles in length. This project also includes a new storm <br />sewer manhole with a stub for the future connection <br />of private Jw1111WaLc1 improvements constructed on <br />the 6140 Highway 10 property. Council approved the <br />resolution, and the project was awarded to Dave Perkins <br />Contracting, Inc. <br />The final case was to Adopt Ordinance #25-07: Sign <br />Code Update. The ordinance repeals a portion of City <br />Code Chapter 117 and a portion of the COR Framework, <br />and the concurrent establishment of Ramsey City Code <br />Chapter 108 as part of the Sign Code Update. The <br />proposed changes will update terms and conditions, <br />add tables for bulk standards of common sign types in <br />each zoning district, as well as condense and simplify <br />performance standards. The changes will create an <br />May 16, 2025 <br />Welcome New Business <br />Logan Companies celebrated its grand opening with a <br />ribbon -cutting ceremony on May 8. Ramsey City Council <br />and Economic Development Authority, City staff and the <br />Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce joined to welcome <br />this new business to Ramsey at 13950 Radium Street <br />NW #200.
