City UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report December 12, 2025 <br />Council Update <br />We're Hiring! <br />Police Technician (Part -Time) <br />Salary: $29.66-$37.07 Hourly <br />Closing Date: December 21, at 11:59 p.m. <br />The Police Technician is responsible for performing a <br />wide variety of technical and specialized functions and <br />administrative work in support of the Police Department. <br />Provides customer service support and exercises discretion <br />while building relationships with the community, residents, <br />and City staff. This position requires a high degree of tact, <br />courtesy, confidentiality, and sound judgement. The position <br />also requires considerable knowledge of State Statutes, <br />offense codes, City Ordinances, and department policies. <br />Other duties include, but are not limited to, entering, <br />maintaining, retrieving, and compiling factual information <br />through numerous computerized systems and disseminating <br />this information to authorized agencies and persons. <br />This position will also monitor compliance by applying <br />knowledge of data privacy practices and requirements, <br />respond to the public via telephone or in -person requests <br />and classify crimes pursuant to applicable state and federal <br />reporting systems. The position reports to the Police <br />Department Office Supervisor. <br />This is a part-time, 25-hour-per-week AFSCME union <br />position. The regular schedule falls Monday through Friday <br />between 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with some flexibility in daily <br />hours subject to supervisor approval. Paid leave benefits, <br />including vacation and sick time, are prorated based on <br />hours worked per week. <br />2026 Wage Scale Per Hour: <br />Step 1: $29.659 I Step 2: $31.142 I Step 3: $32.624 <br />Step 4: $34.107 I Step 5: $35.590 I Step 6: $37.073 <br />City of #k <br />• <br />RAMSEY <br />Community Service Officer (Part -Time) <br />Salary: $24.45-$30.57 Hourly <br />Closing Date: Open Until Filled <br />The Community Service Officer is responsible for a <br />variety of non -sworn law enforcement support duties for <br />the Ramsey Police Department. This position provides cost- <br />effective public safety and superior customer service while <br />performing regularly scheduled community service work. It <br />also assists with high priority unanticipated calls for service <br />and public protection and crime prevention. <br />Conditions of Employment: <br />This internship is limited to no more than five years, or <br />one-year post eligibility, whichever comes first. <br />This is an AFSCME union, uniformed, non -sworn, paid <br />and benefit eligible internship. This position earns part-time <br />pro -rated holidays, vacation and sick leave. The position <br />is covered by Public Employees Retirement Association <br />(PERA) and ancillary benefits are available. We've got good <br />news for you, during the months of December and January, you can recycle both extra cardboard and strands of holiday <br />lights for FREE! Holiday lights can be dropped off in the collection cart in the main lobby of the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center (7550 Sunwood Drive NW). Please note that you do need to remove any plastic `framing' (framing shaped <br />like stars, snowmen, etc.) and dispose of it in your trash. There are also two (2) dumpsters at the former Public <br />Works campus (14100 Jasper Street NW) for that extra cardboard that there's not room for in your <br />recycling cart.
