<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, October 2,2007, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig (arrived at 7:13 p.m.) <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:52 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Burns Township Incorporation <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson reviewed the letter received from Bums Township about <br />their intent to incorporate and that they are asking for the City of Ramsey's support. She noted <br />that by passing a resolution supporting their incorporation, it really has no formal role in the <br />incorporation process, but just indicates support from the surrounding communities of Bums' <br />efforts. She stated that staff has been discussing the possibility of a water treatment facility that <br />would serve Ramsey as well as potentially St. Francis. She stated that the City has spoken with <br />Matt HigWand in S1. Francis and he has expressed some interest in participating with the City in <br />this. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson stated that there has been no feasibility study conducted regarding <br />the regional water treatment facility. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / October 2,2007 <br />Pagelof9 <br />
