FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />Police Chief Mike Auspos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:24 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />NOlle <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Representatives of Community School, Addie Larson Sandburg, and Jill Prall - Ramsey <br />Elementary, were present to request additional hours for community school. They pointed out that <br />there would be more children at Ramsey Elementary School and the fact that Sandburg Middle <br />School would house only Ramsey children in 1996-1997. They explained the push to keep teens <br />busy and asked for financial assistance for Sandburg. Another suggestion was to have open gym <br />opportunities at the Ramsey Elementary School for the teens. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson suggested the cases be discussed as follows: #4, #5, #3, #1, and #2. <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda in the order amended. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #4: 1996 Improvements to Emerald Pond Park <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the 1996 Capital Improvements Program budget included <br />$106,000 in park dedication fees from the Sunfish Lake District. Phase II improvements to <br />Emerald Pond Park are important to effect now as the pressure on the park is increasing <br />significantly from new residents in the vicinity. <br /> <br />Finance Committee/April 23, 1996 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
