She
explained that Ms. Jackson proposes to lease the lowest floor of her 3-level split as a one-bedroom
accessory apartment with its own kitchen and bath facilities, and noted there is sufficient room in
the driveway for off-street parking along with the renter being allowed one stall in the garage for
indoor parking.

Applicant Rebecca Jackson explained that she moved to Ramsey from South Minneapolis with the
intent to rent out part of her home to help finance it. She stated that the previous owners of the
home were a family of five, and now it is just her (and hopefully one renter). She added that she
has only one car with a two-car garage, yet most of her neighbors have 3-4 cars.

CITIZEN INPUT

Ben Moss, 8320 157th Lane N.W. - inquired about the duration of the CUP.

Ms. Frolik stated the CUP would remain in effect for as long as Ms. Jackson owns the property.

Mr. Moss inquired whether the zoning would remain single family.

Ms. Frolik stated it would remain single family with a CUP for special use.

Mr. Moss described the house floor plan and inquired whether the apartment would have its own
kitchen area, and Ms. Frolik provided him with a copy of the proposed floor plan.

Mr. Moss inquired as to the type of separate entry being provided for the renter.

Public Hearing/Planning Commission/July 5, 1994
Page 1 of 2
