FINANCE COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 26, 1994, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor James Gilbertson Councilmember Sheila Beyer Councilmember Glen Hardin Councilmember Kenneth Peterson Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Also Present: City Administrator Ryan Schroeder Finance Officer Jessie Hart CALL TO ORDER Councilmember Peterson called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:03 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT None CONSENT AGENDA None APPROVE AGENDA Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Case gl: 1995 Budget Process Update Finance Officer Hart stated that the 1995 budget process is in "full swing," and she presented a budget calendar. She asked that the Committee schedule two dates for a budget meeting at which Councilmembers can be present. Consensus of the Committee was that the meetings would be held at 5:30 p.m., Monday, August 8, 1994, and 5:30 p.m., Monday, August 15, 1994. City Administrator Schroeder informed the Committee that there is a deficit in the budget of $107,000 ($150,000 if there is no tax increase). He added that the City will receive a significant tax increase because of the houses built. Case /12: Approve Contract with Greater Anoka County Humane Society for Animal Control Services Finance Officer Hart stated that the City of Ramsey has contracted with the Greater Anoka County Humane Society for several years with no or few complaints.
