FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 25, <br />1994, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer (arrived approximately 6:09 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />Police Chief Mike Auspos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at <br />6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: Government Innovation Grant <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Cities of Anoka and Ramsey submitted a pre- <br />application to the Minnesota Board of Government Innovation and Cooperation. The <br />request is for approximately $20,000 to study the ability of the two cities to construct and <br />operate a joint water, sewer and storm drainage system in the two industrial parks. He <br />stated both cities need to deal with water storage capacity and it would be a benefit if only <br />one water tower would have to be built. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />recommend that City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the Innovation and <br />Cooperation funding request. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman and Peterson. Voting <br />No: None.
