FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 22, <br />1994, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson (arrived approximately 6:21 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />Police Chief Mike Auspos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at <br />6:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Towing Contract for 1995 <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the City has contracted with Duane's Towing for the last <br />two years - they basically do work for the Police Department. The renewal period for this <br />contract is January 4, 1995, to January 3, 1996. They are proposing an identical contract <br />except for it's a one-year as opposed to a two-year contract, due to cost of living. Chief <br />Auspos has expressed satisfaction with their service. Ms. Hart added that if the City has to <br />pay for towing, it is generally reimbursed by insurance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin asked for comments from Chief Auspos. <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos stated he would prefer to renew the contract as opposed to going out <br />on bids because of how time consuming it is to go through that process, plus the fact that <br />the prices have not really changed.
