I <br /> <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I$ <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey ~lanning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, February <br />2, 1993 at the~, Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />to hear input .regarding a proposed ordinance amending Ramsey City Code Chapter 9, Section <br />9.11.02, Subdivision 2, Accessory Uses. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 8:07 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Project Manager Crromberg stated Staff is proposing a change in Subdivision 2 of City Code which <br />would disallow the storage of an automobile without a current license plate or the sale of more than <br />one vehicle ata time on residential-zoned properties. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Harold Bauer,, 7910 - 156th Avenue N.W. - stated he opposes the amendment. He stated that if he <br />wanted to livelin Edina he would, but he came up here to have a little freedom. <br /> <br />Charles Pont0, 7745 - 156th Avenue N.W. - stated he was opposed to the amendment if he <br />couldn't have0ne vehicle unlicensed. He stated this would hurt a lot of people. <br /> <br />Jay Maas, 7920 - 159th Lane N.W. - stated that he has lived in Ramsey for the last 25 years and <br />that it is unheard of not to allow for one unlicensed vehicle. <br /> <br />Doug Hanso~ 14040 Azurite Street N.W. - stated that while a number of people are going to <br />benefit from the proposal, he felt that if a survey were done, the City would find it would create <br />more of a hardship. <br /> <br />Greg Ben'es, 7720 - 156th Avenue N.W. - stated he was opposed. He stated that he didn't live in <br />Edina or St. Paul and that he moved to Ramsey to have freedom and land.
