PARK <br /> <br />AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a workshop format meeting on <br />Wednesday, March 10, 1993 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Ronald Hetland <br />Commissioner Todd Cook <br />Commissioner Jacki Florentius <br />Commissioner James Gookin <br />Commissioner Jay Swokowski <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Janice Johnson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Hefland called Park and Recreation Commission workshop to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Gookin to approve the Park and <br />Recreation Commission meeting minutes dated February 10, 1993 as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Florentius, Gookin and <br />Swokowski. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Johnson. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Chairperson Hetland stated to the Commission that the meeting will be conducted in a workshop <br />format utilizing the March 5 memorandum for topic matter. <br /> <br />Finance Committee <br /> <br />Park/Utilities .Coordinator Mark Boos provided background as it relates to 1992 and 1993 Parks <br />Capital Improvements program leading up to the March 9, 1993, Finance Committee meeting. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder reported that the Finance Committee did not approve the Park <br />and RecreatiOn Commission's 1993 Capital Improvement Request (October 1992), but instead <br />proposed an' allocation of $120,000 per year gained from interest earnings from the Landfill <br />Expendable Trust Fund for 1993, 1994 and 1995. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder suggested the Park and Recreation Commission consider whether their 1993 plan <br />should be revised and suggested that a cohesive plan for 1993-1995 should be developed perhaps <br /> <br />Park <br /> <br />and Recreation Commission/March 10, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
