Absent: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />suBcoMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1:: <br /> <br />Review Proposed Ordinance to Establish Regulations for Moving <br />Structures Into and Within the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the City Council/Planning and Zoning Commission <br />'Subcommittee directed Staff to draft an ordinance prohibiting the moving of structures into and <br />~vithin ~he Ci!y. However after Staff discussed this direction with the City Attorney, he advised <br />against abgoliate prohibition as it could be challenged as discriminatory. City Attorney Goodrich <br />advis'e.d.th~it establishing stringent regulations for moving in structures can provide the protection <br />the. City desires without being discriminatory. Ms. Frolik advised the Subcommittee that <br />'Couneilmem§er Zimmerman requested, upon his absence, that consideration be given to amending <br />the,proposed Ordinance to allow the moving of structures into the rural district only. <br /> <br />City Council/Planning & Zoning Workshop/September 7, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
