BUDGET COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsq~Y~ B ~udget Committee conducted its regular meeting on Thursday, March 19, 1992 at the <br />Ramsey 1Vl[unici~al Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members I~sent: Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> <br />Also Preselat: <br /> <br />CALL T° ORDER <br /> <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />Police Chief Auspos <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular Budget Committee meeting to order at 3:41 p.m. <br />CITIZE~ INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus Was t° approve the following items on the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br /> <br />Regort of City Staff Time Billed to Private/Public Projects <br />Memo from Finance Officer Helling regarding Fire Department Capital Purchase Update <br /> <br />APPROVE r AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda with the following addition: <br /> <br />Case #6: · Request to Purchase Radio for Public Works <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Authorization for Arbor Month Activities, Tree Sale and <br /> Environmental Exposition <br /> <br />Parks/Utility[eS Coordinator Boos explained the charges for the arbor activities. He stated there is a <br />change in thc chgges listed because it won't be possible to get the naturalist-led environmental <br />sessions at ~ '~cosl; of $120 because of prior commitments; however, the University of Minnesota <br />can offer a grogram including birds and even a Bald Eagle for $185 ($135 without the Bald Eagle). <br />Mr. Boos al~o exPlained the request for postage from the citizen's tree committee. <br /> <br />CouncilmeOber Hardin suggested that before the citizen's tree committee mails anything out, it <br />must be reviewed by the City Administrator or his designee. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos Was directed to do a handwritten memo to each Councilmember explaining the part he <br />would like them to play with regard to the Arbor Day activities. <br /> <br />Budget Committee/March 19, 1992 <br /> Page I of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
