Btldget Committee conducted a meeting on Tuesday, August 11, 1992 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal[i)enter, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members lh, esent: Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> <br />Also Prese~t: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen <br />Fire Chief David Griffin <br />Police Chief Michael Auspos <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br />Public Works Maintenance Worker Gregg Belsaas <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmenaber Peterson called the Budget Committee meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. <br />COMMI'IWEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />1 ) Cal~ital ,Outlay <br /> <br />City Admir~istrator Schroeder stated that the information presented shows all the capital outlay <br />requests. 14I¢ added that Staff, at this point, is not asking for "okays" or "cuts" and that these <br />requests ar~ not matched with revenue. <br /> <br />The Budget~12ommittee proceeded to review the requests of the Police Department, Fire Department <br />and the Public WOrks Department. <br /> <br />Each Department Head was given the opportunity to express why he/she needed the items <br />requested. <br /> <br />2) Capital ~mprovements <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos summarized his requests for park improvements. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski talked about the 1993 Street Maintenance Program plus other engineering <br />projects. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling summarized a memorandum from Project Manager Gromberg regarding <br />ordering m~ ree.;ycling containers.
