<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, January 29, <br />2008, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look (arrived at 7:32 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br /> <br />Member Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Assistant Community Development Dir/HRA Executive Dir Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:43 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Highway #10 Interchange Design Work <br /> <br />Mr. Don Demers of SRF Consulting Group was present to discuss the U.S. Highway 10 Freeway <br />Conversion Project, preliminary design and EA. He explained that they met with Ramsey in the <br />fall and would like to give an update on what some upcoming meetings will cover. He reviewed <br />that the project is for the interchange at Ramsey and Sunfish along Highway 10. He stated that <br />businesses and residences will be notified concerning public meetings. He stated that there was a <br />business meeting December 6, 2007, which addressed a question of when the project will be <br />constructed. He explained that a timeline has not been determined. He stated they reviewed the <br />impact on specific businesses and the discussed the relocating of businesses in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey asked if there are minutes from the meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Demers stated that he does not have the minutes available at tonight's meeting but that City <br />Staff has the minutes. He offered to provide the minutes. He explained that he will be reviewing <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / January 29, 2008 <br />Page 1 of 17 <br />
