Nelson (arrived at 6:08 p.m.) <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Steve Boynton, Flagship Fitness <br />Jim Deal, PSD <br />Curt Martinson, PSD <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:04 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Community Center Presentation <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec introduced Steve Boynton of Flagship Fitness. <br /> <br />Mr. Boynton clarified that some of his drawings and sketches still bear the name of Advance <br />Fitness. He stated that the owner has been in the fitness industry for about 30 years and was <br />recently able to acquire the name Flagship Fitness. He stated that their general concept is similar <br />to a LifeTime Fitness experience, with the use of upscale materials and one that caters to <br />families. He stated that they offer the same sort of services to their members, such as free <br />childcare. He stated that one difference is that Flagship Fitness has seen that LifeTime has <br />missed the mark for kids aged 12-18.
