<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOia COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, February 10, <br />2009, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />CouncilriIember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis G. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Associate Planner Timothy Gladhill <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 7:38 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Update on Lease of Office Space at Old Municipal Center <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that the MN Renaissance School had an expert come <br />in to look at the mold situation at Old City Hall. She stated that the report is attached and there <br />was evidence of mold at the facility. She stated that the findings indicate the need for further <br />investigation, but the question is what the City will do with that information once it gets it. She <br />stated that there is a fire station that operates' out of this facility so there could be health risks for <br />those employees, although she noted that they are somewhat transient. She stated that there are <br />no established legal guidelines about how much mold creates a health risk. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that he is not buying into all the mold issues coming forward these <br />days. He stated that every house has mold so he thinks this is kind of a recent phenomena that <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / February 10,2009 <br />Page 1 of6 <br />
