NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Negotiating Committee conducted a meeting on February 19, 1991 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />AFSCME Business Agent Matt Nelson <br />AFSCME Union Steward Gayle Rogers <br />AFSCME Union Alternate Mark Boos <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 3:43 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Agenda approved as submitted <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Labor Relations with <br /> <br />Recording Secretary Jo Thieling <br /> <br /> AFSCME Bargaining Unit for 1991 <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson proceeded to go over each item of the Employer response to the 1/31/91 <br />AFSCME Union Proposal. <br /> <br />1. Holidays: The City is offering an additional 1/2 holiday (Christmas Eve), increasing to 11 <br /> days per year. <br /> <br />2. Vacation: The City's offer is to remain status quo. <br /> <br />3. Sick Leave Conversion: Withdrawn by AFSCME. <br /> <br />4. Health Insurance Contribution Increase: The employer proposes a health insurance <br /> maximum of $230.00 per month which is an 18% increase or $35.00 more per month than <br /> the previous contract. <br /> <br />5. Part-time Insurance Request: The issue was discussed with City Council and declined at <br /> this time due to budget constraints. <br /> <br />6. Dental Insurance: Reviewed in discussion following Item #9. <br /> <br />7.
